Hi everyone. I’m trying to take my faith seriously, but I keep getting stuck when conflict comes up. I’m a practicing Catholic, and lately I’ve had tension both at home and at work. At home it’s little comments that turn into sarcasm, then we stop talking for a day. At work it’s more like feeling disrespected in meetings and then replaying everything in my head.
I know Jesus says to forgive, and I want to, but I’m confused about what “handling conflict in a Christian way” looks like in real life. Does it mean I should just stay quiet to keep peace? How do I speak up without being harsh? And what if the other person doesn’t want to talk or keeps doing the same thing?
I’ve tried praying a quick Hail Mary when I’m angry, but I still feel like I either explode or shut down. If anyone has Catholic guidance (Scripture, saints, practical steps), I’d really appreciate it.
