I’m trying to be honest with myself: I love Jesus and I want to live my vocation faithfully, but I feel scattered and inconsistent.
I’m in my early 30s, married, and we have a toddler. I work full time, and by the end of the day I’m worn out. I do go to Mass on Sundays (sometimes one of us goes alone when the little one is melting down). I pray… but it’s usually a rushed Hail Mary in the car or a half-finished rosary bead before I fall asleep.
I keep reading that my vocation is the path to holiness, but I’m not sure what “faithful” looks like in real life. Is it mostly about keeping up with prayer? Being more patient? Serving my spouse and child more joyfully? I also feel guilty when I don’t do “enough” spiritually, and then I avoid it because I’m discouraged.
If anyone has practical steps, Church teaching that helps, or a simple way to structure life so it actually becomes prayer, I’d really appreciate it. I’m not looking for a perfect routine—just a faithful one.
